PIE Fund

We have just launched another First Mortgage investment offering, which provides better diversification and a higher level of security as compared to our Single Investment product.

This is a First Mortgage Investment Fund, which holds legal PIE Fund status from IRD, meaning all investment income tax is capped at 28%, including an exemption for trusts which are taxed at 39% for any income over $10,000 outside of PIEs.

All investor funds are held in a trust account by Public Trust as supervisor, with PWC appointed as auditor of the fund. We will continue to lend on similar loan opportunities that we currently offer, and the fund is required to stay below a 60% LVR at all times.

Investing in the Fund

The Fund’s minimum investment is normally $10,000. You must invest in the Fund for a minimum of three months. After that, investments can be withdrawn at the end of each calendar quarter, subject to restrictions around liquidity.

Withdrawals must normally be in $10,000 increments.
