At FTN, we’re on a mission to create the ultimate urban motorcycle for the pioneers of the modern world, honoring the art of true craftsmanship while pushing the boundaries of what a motorcycle can be.
Like many legendary Kiwi initiatives, our journey started in a garage. Founders Luke and Kendall saw an opportunity with the electric revolution to bring the freedom of motorcycles to the daily commute while reducing transport emissions. They built the first prototype of the Streetdog electric motorbike over lockdown in 2020. When they met Saskia later that year, they were ready to turn the garage project dream into the next great Kiwi company. We now have 200+ Streetdogs roaming New Zealand, strong product margins and our first shipments starting for Australia.
With 4 years of pioneering development behind us and crucially, 3 years of road-tested product in the hands of happy customers, we’ve got the jump on many legacy and new entrant competitors. The timing is right for offshore expansion.
Delivering bikes
Over 200 Streetdogs have been built and delivered to New Zealand customers. Now running out of our Hamilton workshop, we are continuously delivering 1 to 2 Streetdogs every week with capacity to reach 6+ as Australian sales come online.
Streetdog80 launch
The Streetdog80 is here. With NZ deliveries underway and the AU orderbook filling up, the Streetdog80 unlocks higher margins, a larger customer base, and builds brand credibility.
Reaching positive margins
Our impressive margins progress can be attributed to the Hamilton move, the Gen3 Streetdog redesign and the launch of our expanded product configurator. From negative gross margins in 2023, we are now touching 30% and on track to achieve our 40% target in FY26.
Built to last
Now into a 3rd generation Streetdog design, the frequency of warranty call-outs has dropped dramatically. This is a crucial achievement as we prepare for overseas expansion.
Our first retail store
With the initial Britomart pop-up trial bringing in high foot traffic and test rides numbers for local customers, we are now running an extended trial as word-of-mouth awareness and sales continue to increase.
Ready for Australia
We’ve secured AU-type approval ahead of schedule and delivered demo bikes to our Sydney and Melbourne service partners - including our first customer delivery. Test ride events are underway and regular deliveries will begin in July, aligning with the approval of our AU branch application.
Customers love the Streetdog
Our first customers have racked up well over 250,000kms already. The positive feedback from riders emphasise the bike’s craftsmanship and smooth riding experience giving us a reputational edge over other new entrant companies.
An iconic design backed by class-leading build quality and in-house expertise that punches above our size and stage.
Product
Our design-protected ‘blank canvas’ fairing design offers unmatched customisation potential - a B2B premium retail edge not available to competitors.
The same IP extends to the beautifully simple layout of our class-leading 30L storage compartment and easy-access battery.
From custom etchings to touch-screen displays, from hand-stitched leather fobs to an integrated electronic locking system - the Streetdog blends craftsmanship and innovation. It’s a distinctive, premium product that stands apart from mass-market offerings.
Ride feel and build quality are consistently rated best-in-class by journalists and riders. In-house assembly and the use of high-end hardware elevate the ride experience above our competitors.
In-house excellence
We’ve hired for experience where it matters. Our lead mechanical, electrical, and software engineers each bring over 25 years in the field.
Combined with in-house assembly and strategic local manufacturing partners, this enables rapid iteration - from customer feedback to design refinements - keeping us consistently ahead of the curve.
A heavyweight advisory team
We’ve attracted industry leaders in manufacturing and global growth to guide our next phase:
Roland Krueger - Former CEO and current director of Dyson, former head of Infiniti and BMW Asia. Supervisory board member for Puma.
Mariko Davidson - Head of e-mobility initiatives at Ford Motor Group. Director of Growth for e-bike subscription company, Wombi. MIT Alumni (City Planning)
Jamie France - Global launch director for Rocket Lab and 16 years at Emirates Team NZ (now also an FTN Board Director)

Electric is inevitable. The huge projected market growth from 2025 to 2030 for electric mopeds and motorcycles underlines the opportunity FTN is timed perfectly to take advantage of.
We are ready for international expansion and have a clear path to profitability. Getting there requires investment in the following:
We are seeking to raise up to $900,000 through a Convertible Notes on the following terms:
All notes will convert to equity at a price set in a future qualifying financing round.

Warning
If you are an existing retail investor in FTN, you are being offered Convertible Notes in FTN Motion Limited. New Zealand law normally requires people who offer financial products to give information to investors before they invest. This requires those offering financial products to have disclosed information that is important for investors to make an informed decision. The usual rules do not apply to this offer because it is a small offer to existing retail investors and an offer to wholesale investors. As a result, you may not be given all the information usually required. You will also have fewer other legal protections for this investment. Ask questions, read all documents carefully, and seek independent financial advice before committing yourself.
